I love this time of year when the earth is waking up after a long winter. The grass and the tree buds are so green. Spring green is so bright, it seems like a different color green for sure. Not sure if it is or if I just haven’t seen green for awhile.
Spring always symbolizes a new beginning to me. I like to walk through my neighborhood – especially at this time of year. A recent walk was definitely chilly, but the sun was out and the views were amazing. It didn’t take long for me to forget about the temperature and enjoy the walk.
Some people say that walking is their meditation and for the first time I think I understand what they mean. I allowed myself to take the time to really take in the beauty of my neighborhood. There was so much beauty: colorful flowers coming up in gardens, dandelions and violets scattered throughout fields, trees were budding and bushes were flowering. Everything looked so alive and new. I felt a part of me waking up too.
There have been some spectacular seasonal pictures on Facebook lately. So breathtaking, they almost don’t look real. And while I am not visiting Denmark or France anytime soon, I am just as happy walking through my neighborhood and seeing what it has to offer.
I encourage you to do it too. I would love to hear how your walk went.
